Android Pie or Android 9 builds in thousands of improvements, with highlights including:

Battery Saver:

Android 9 Pie is providing more controlled Battery Saver. It will keep your charge to go longer by turning off Always on display and other background processes.

Adaptive Battery:

Android 9 Pie uses Machine learning & Artificial intelligence to figure out which apps are taking more battery & when they require the battery. Adaptive battery learns when your phone requires more power when not. Because of this, Android 9 Pie phone will be running with longer battery & very less battery drain.

Adaptive Brightness:

Adaptive Brightness is again the same as an Adaptive battery. Android pie users need not worry about screens brightness. Adaptive brightness also helping battery uses. The brightness of the screen will be set automatically, Adaptive brightness will be learning how and when to set your phone brighter.

App Actions:

Background Restrictions:

Now, you’ll see recommendations in Settings to restrict certain apps that use too much battery, so you can have more control over your battery.

Accessibility Menu:

Common features like taking screenshots & navigating with other hand features will be there in accessibility settings.

Select to Speak – OCR in Camera View:

With Select to Speak, you can select text on the screen and the content will be read aloud. Now, Android 9 has added OCR support for S2S in Camera and Pictures to make text even more accessible. Simply select text when using the camera or in the picture, and the text will be highlighted and read aloud.

Sound amplifier:

This new Accessibility Service makes it easier to understand conversations by dynamically adjusting over 100 settings to boost the audio in scenarios such as a loud restaurant, bar, or concert.

Multi-camera support: 

Multiple camera support is available in android from Android Pie (Android 9). Such as dual front & dual back camera support added.

External camera support:

The external camera also can be connected through Android 9 devices.

Do Not Disturb:

App dashboard:

Get a daily view of the time spent on your phone, how frequently you use different apps, and how many notifications you get.
